Filling therapy

Filling therapy for the treatment of caries

At the beginning of caries, the disease attacks the hard tissue of the tooth. This process usually continues over a longer period of time, during which the enamel and the dentin are increasingly affected. In the worst cases, caries also attacks the pulp and nerves.

This disease is the best-known threat to teeth, occurring primarily on the chewing surfaces of the molars in children and more in the interdental spaces in adults. If dark spots appear on the teeth, the disease is already in an advanced stage and must be treated urgently. Therefore, early treatment of affected areas is particularly important for the preservation of healthy tooth substance.
